Frequently Asked Questions
How to use surface resistivity meter?
To use a surface resistivity meter, the testing method and accessories can vary depending on the material being tested.
For example, to test the resistance Point-to-Point (Rtt) of a work surface:
①Place two 5-pound electrodes at both ends of the material to be tested, with a distance of 10 inches between them;
②Connect these two electrodes to the meter with test leads respectively;
③Push the red pushbutton to start the test.More testing information about the surface resisty meter, welcome to contact us.
What is the standard for surface resistance?
Most common standard for surface resistance is as follows:
1. International standard IEC 62631-3-1:2016
2. American standard ASTM D257
3. Chinese standard GB/T 1410How does a surface resistance meter work?
A surface resistance meter works by applying a certain voltage on the material surface and measures the current flowing through the surface, thereby calculating the surface resistance of the material.
Can you provide any calibration certificate?
Yes, every ESD Defender 19290 comes with unique calibration certificate.
